ROLLING OUT THE RED CARPET

SPRING EDITION 2009

Hollywood – step aside!  On Sunday, May 3, at the Crowne Plaza Reading Hotel, Prospectus Berco rolled out the red carpet for more than 260 guests.  The Dinner and Awards Ceremony was a star studded and spectacular event as we honored our guests from the Vocational, Adult Training, and Residential Programs as well as community leaders and partners who help us achieve our mission and provide services.

All of our guests were honored with red carpet treatment, balloons, and Oscar centerpieces.  Following the dinner and awards ceremony, the dance floor was quickly packed as everyone danced to DJ Evelyn’s music.  If you missed this year’s event, be sure to mark your calendar next year for one of the best and most enjoyable awards celebrations.

Our Community Award recipients were:  Outstanding Volunteer – Becky Erb, CPA;  Partner in Business – Mark Stiefel, JPC Fasteners;  Community Partners – Kim & James Hackman and Lori Zwally, Kim’s Klassic Kuts;  Partners in Caring – Eric Benham and Scottie Kline, Reading Metro Taxi;  and Partners in Success – Dave and Debbie Meas, Hair On The Avenue.

Recognition Awards in the Adult Training Program were given to Emmalou Angstadt, Ronald Benedict, Jamie Englebach, Brian Kruppenbach, Josue Millayes, Laura Mohn, Randall Morganti, and Luis Rivera-Torres.

Vocational Program award recipients were Employee of the Year, Victoria Derr; Employee Achievement, Annbrini Cupris and Eric Frymoyer;  and Employee Recognition Awards went to Linda Bradshaw, Crystal Dobrosky, Larry Kuser, and Terry Wien.

Our Residential Services Awards for this year went to Todd Faulkner, Glenn Geiger, Prince Minor, Scott Santo, and Cathy Jo Weidner for Personal Accomplishment;  Michael Burgess for Social Achievement;  and Ronald Eschbach for Community Service.

Thank you to National/Yorgey Cleaners for the “red carpet” and Berks Photographic Society for taking terrific photos of our event.  Our thanks also to the following businesses who donated items for our raffle baskets:  Alisha’s Spa Euphoria;  Lisa Lenczden, Avon representative;  Bell Tower Salon & Spa;  Billy’s Homemade Candies;  Buca di Beppo;  Crowne Plaza Reading Hotel; PetSmart in Wyomissing;  Reading Express;  Lynn Champagne, Tastefully Simple representative;  and Tuscan Sun Spa.
